Causes of Wrinkle

Of course, the main reason people develop wrinkles is age. But there are plenty of factors that if eliminated, can prevent premature ageing and develop wrinkles.

Staying under the UVB and UVA rays without wearing sunscreen is the main cause of premature ageing.

Smoking, drinking a lot of alcohol and leading an unhealthy lifestyle with an unbalanced diet also contributes to getting wrinkles.

Smiling, frowning, squinting and other facial movements result in developing dynamic wrinkles. These wrinkles may develop at a much younger age.

Natural Remedies for Wrinkles

There are many natural remedies which, in conjunction with the right skincare products, may help you prevent fine lines and reduce the look of wrinkles.

Oils

Olive oil is one of the natural oils that can be of great use when you are trying to make your skin look younger and fresher. Applying a few drops of high-quality olive oil on the skin and gently massaging it with your fingertips for a couple of minutes will make your skin look much more plump and hydrated. Then, rinse off the face with lukewarm water and pat-dry it.

Repeating this procedure on a regular basis will make the lines less visible. Aside from that, many specialists consider natural olive oil to be an excellent moisturizer.

There are also numerous essential oils that are anti-ageing. Applying them on areas where you have wrinkles or fine lines is a great way to nourish the skin and give it a fresher look. If the oils are too strong and concentrated, it is recommended to dilute them with a much lighter carrier oil.

Some of the essential oils that can bring positive results in the battle with ageing are argan, jojoba, grapeseed, carrot seed and lavender oils.

Oils are an affordable way to take care of your skin and make it look younger and fresher with very little resources and time.

Facial Massage

Even if you are in a hurry in the mornings, giving your face a massage of three to five minutes is the best thing you can do to increase the blood flow in the face. Gently massage the face and neck area with a lotion or what is even better, with an essential oil that has anti-ageing properties. Apply some pressure with your fingers to the areas that you feel like are most problematic for you. For some people, it is the forehead, while for many others, it is the smile lines.

If you want to make your at-home massage sessions more professional, use small handheld tools. Remember that whether you are doing a massage with your fingertips or a certain device, always go in with upward motions. Dragging your skin down will do no good.

Massaging the face will not only give some flush to your face and plump it up, but it will also reduce stress. Stress is another major contributor to fine lines and wrinkles.
